Music legend Mose Allison is captured live on "American Legend" recorded in concert at 19 Broadway in Fairfax, CA in October 2006. "American Legend" will be the final release by Mose. On January 14, 2013, Allison was honored as a Jazz Master by the National Endowment for the Arts at a ceremony at Lincoln Center in New York. The NEA Jazz Masters Fellowship is the nation's highest honor in Jazz. His songs have been covered by Diana Krall, Norah Jones, Van Morrison, John Mayall, Bonnie Raitt, The Who, The Clash, Eric Clapton, the Yardbirds and Elvis Costello to name a few. Van Morrison recorded a tribute album, Tell Me Something, The Songs of Mose Allison, on Verve Records.
