City Hall Records is an independently owned and operated national independent music distribution company. Located in San Rafael, California, just North of San Francisco, City Hall does business primarily in the US but also in Canada, Japan, Europe and Australia.

City Hall's staff, many of whom have musical backgrounds, possess the musical knowledge to understand customers' needs and the passion to fulfill them. City Hall offers diverse musical styles on all sizes of independent labels. Rock, Jazz, Blues, Rap/Hip Hop, and World genres are prominently featured in the City Hall catalog.

Like many entrepreneurial success stories, City Hall started operation from Robin Cohn's garage on Arguello Street, San Francisco in 1973. City Hall moved four times in the next 27 years to larger quarters in the Upper Fillmore, then four locations in San Rafael. The present location at 2505 Kerner Blvd is a modern building with a view of San Francisco Bay.
